Valley of Ourika

| About thirty kilometers of the red city "Marrakech" you will discover in the Ourika valley a small river at the foot of the Atlas with a lot of green along the shores where it is pleasant to taste excellent berber tagines and to have a nap afterwards. "Setti-Fatma", a typical village is only 10 kilometers away. To discover the seven water falls you have to climb the mointain with a guide. (rather strainfull). You will appreciate the contast of colours that offers the Ourika valley. The berber market, that is held every monday, is full of vegetables, meat and herbes with delicious smells. And of course there are the donkeys waiting for their masters at the riverside. The road that leads to the valley passes through the irrigated plain of Haouz with its sumptuous orchards. |
